Every November, the small town of Pushkar, Rajasthan transforms as 400,000 visitors flood in for one of India's largest cattle fairs – a vibrant spectacle of livestock trading, traditional handicrafts, and the thunderous excitement of camel racing, all set against a carnival atmosphere of music, dance, and local exhibitions. For our Dolby Vision shoot, we sought to capture this energy in a rural Rajasthan village as dawn broke. Racing against the brutal June heat that would soon soar past 100°F, our crew worked swiftly to bring the fair to life – setting up handicraft stalls, gathering locals, and adorning camels in traditional decorations. Despite the sweltering conditions, there was an electric anticipation in the air as the festival scene materialized before us. The culminating moment arrived in a sensory rush: the powerful rhythm of drums merged with enthusiastic cheers as camels thundered across the desert dunes, their hoofbeats echoing across the landscape.
